The Sound Blaster 2.0 was a slightly improved version of the Sound Blaster. It was marketed as an entry-level product, since it was introduced after the release of the more advanced Sound Blaster Pro.

The Sound Blaster 2.0 is an 8-bit ISA card. It uses a Yamaha YM3812 (OPL2) audio chip and has empty sockets for two SAA1099 chips to make it compatible with the Creative Music System. In addition to a microphone input (already present on Sound Blaster 1.x cards), the Sound Blaster 2.0 also has a line input. The upgraded DSP was capable of 44 kHz playback and 22 kHz recording, and supported auto-init DMA.

The known Sound Blaster 2.0 model is CT-1350 with sub-variants.
