Lethal Weapon are a line of games based on Lethal Weapon movie franchise. Even though the games are just called "Lethal Weapon", they all use the cover art from the third movie, but all of them don't seem to be based on any of the movies and instead have their own storyline. The movies and games revolve around two cops; psycho-cop Martin Riggs portrayed by Mel Gibson, and family man Roger Murtaugh portrayed by Danny Glover. They have completely different personalities, making one think they would be enemies, but they end up being best friends.

The games don't use any of the movie scores by Eric Clapton, Michael Kamen, and Sting. Instead, they have original music.

The Amiga, Atari ST, Commodore 64, DOS, and SNES versions weren't just published, but also developed by Ocean Software. Eurocom developed the NES and Game Boy ports. Data East developed a pinball machine based on the third movie. An unknown developer programmed a Sega Master System port, but it was never released, featuring music by Jeroen Tel.
