Abadox: The Deadly Inner War (NES)
|Abadox: The Deadly Inner War|
Abadox: The Deadly Inner War follows the standard recipe for a scrolling shoot-em-up. You play a soldier trying to destroy the dreaded alien Parasitis which has engulfed the planet Abadox in order to rescue Princess Maria. You move around the screen and fire your weapon at the aliens. Power-ups will boost your speed, weapon power, and defense. Each stage has is infested with alien enemies, a miniboss, and an ending boss that you must defeat to advance to the next stage. There are many similarities with this game and Life Force (NES), like the internal alien body theme and the swapping of vertical and horizontal levels. Overall, the game is very difficult, but fun once you become good at it.
Abadox's music is one of the better soundtracks for the NES. It was composed by Kyouhei Sada who previously worked for Konami. You can make out his style in this soundtrack, because some of the music is similar to his earlier work in Contra (NES). Abadox has really nice ending music.

The background noise from the escape sequence of stage 7 is not included in this rip, but it's hard to call it "music". The rip of "Princess Maria" is much longer, but it just repeats the same beeps for over a minute, to it was truncated in the recording.
Ripping NES music is a very arduous process that is beyond the scope of this site.
