Paul Gadbois is an American composer and sound designer who has worked professionally in music and sound design for over 30 years. Paul started music at age 5, when his parents bought him a guitar. He then started a band with his neighbors and the band grew. When he was in Junior High, he was playing music professionally. In 1990, Paul started working on video game soundtracks, usually accompanied by his friend David Delia. He worked for Interactive Designs, Sega of America, and Electronic Arts. His best known soundtrack is probably for Sonic the Hedgehog Spinball.

Paul no longer works on video games, but he continues to compose and perform music.

Music Development

GG

Paul had to program the music and his own instruments in Z80 assembly.

GEN

Paul would compose MIDI files in Performer for the Macintosh, which were then converted to the infamous GEMS sound engine.

SNES

For NCAA Football, his only SNES game, Paul converted Andy Armer's score to Bitmasters' SLICK/Audio sound driver.
