Yu Shimoda

Yu Shimoda is a Japanese composer and sound designer. He has been composing music since at an early age. In 2004, he started a progressive rock band called "Shinsekai" ("New World") where he played keyboards and worked on production. He also manages "FragileOnline", a music circle.
In 2007, he joined Inti Creates, where he worked on many of the Mega Man titles. As a result of being with Inti Creates, he was a part of their sound team "Triple Eye" as a guitarist, and performed live with the band. He later started working for Gust, and was also a part of their sound team, Gust Sound Team. At Gust, he was known for his work on the Atelier series. He later left Gust and became a freelance composer, before joining Taito and their sound team Zuntata in 2017.
On August 31, 2021, Shimoda quit Taito and started working for SNK a day later, where he still works to this day.
