VLC is an open source cross-platform media player. Though it specializes on video formats, it supports a wide variety of audio formats. It can play and convert many different formats and supports plugins for added formats.
The follow audio formats can be played by VLC: AAC, FLAC, M4A, MIDI, MOD, MP3, OGG, OPUS, S3M, VOC, WAV, WMA, XM.
