Toshiaki Takimoto is a Japanese sound designer and programmer. In April 1986, he joined Hudson Soft. While working there, he oversaw the audio development for all the consoles they worked on, including the TurboGrafx-16, Turbo CD, NES, and SNES. He stayed with the company for 15 years, before leaving in May 2001. He rejoined Hudson in April 2004, and left finally in July 2011, possibly due to the merging of Hudson Soft and Konami. He has not worked on a video game since his first departure of the company.

Audio Development

TG16

Toshiaki never actually composed for the TurboGrafx-16, but rather arranged composers' compositions into Takayuki Iwabuchi's sound driver. He did this using a custom form of Music Macro Language. The titles he worked on were Break In, Yuuyuu Jinsei, Legendary Axe, and many others.
