Tomb Raider in japan (トゥームレイダース - Tomb Raiders), is the second and only port of the first game of the series for Sega Saturn, developed by Core Design Ltd. and published by Eidos Interactive in America, Tec Toy in Brazil, Sega in Europe-Oceania and Victor Interactive Software. in Japan with two re-releases in 1996.
This port is based on DOS, Windows and Saturn, many graphical and technical changes were made in this version, the possibility of saving by Expansion Cartbridge or by software/fimeware was made, better graphics were made with detailed dynamic shadows points that are not in Saturn.
The game is a technological monster that challenged the complex architecture of the Saturn, it was a challenge to do the job on a multiprocessor console, but ended up being a superport as it was the most complete and detailed but only its cinematics suffered a compression.
It is a very important game for the history since it was seen a female protagonist in the title, it was not very common at that time but it was officialized everywhere in magazines that supported Sega.
Its reception was very positive, it obtained very good acceptance on the part of the players but it would be the last time that they would see Lara Croft in the Sega Saturn since it was too complex to make games in the system the development of Tomb Raider II was cancelled, until the Sega Dreamcast and Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation (DC) was released.

Once again the talented Nathan McCree appears who is creator of the original soundtrack of the development in Saturn and is in charge of the musical arrangements of this very complex large port with the change to WAV and MP3 format since they did not know how to handle the SSF system of the console.
The Official Soundtrack would later be released, revealing what the songs would originally be called, but there was no information about this in the WAV files on Saturn.
The same melodic characteristics of a tomb hunter (which is a pioneer of 3D protagonism) is very pleasant for the gamer ear of people who possessed a Saturn.

The credits are displayed after the game has been beaten.
As was done on Sega CD, these recordings were made by GatoVerde95 using CDmage 2.03, VLC media player, Cheat Engine and Mednafen (with MedGui), Audacity to transfer music from RAW data to FLAC and foobar2000 to add metadata. Make List was used to code the recordings in the list.
