Tom & Jerry: The Ultimate Game of Cat and Mouse! also known as "Tom & Jerry (and Tuffy)" is a platforming game based on the cartoon show Tom & Jerry, developed by Software Creations, the same guys who brought us Silver Surfer, Pictionary, Solstice and other classics. The game has a very dull plot; Tom has taken Jerry's cousin Tuffy from him and Jerry must travel through 5 worlds with 3 stages. Each stage represents a certain theme. You'll find yourself in all kinds of places in the house; in the furnace, the kitchen, or even on top of an NES console. The game was developed by Software Creations staff members Paul Murray, David McLachan and Geoff Follin.

Your average one-screen ending. This time with terrible puns!

Music
The game's audio department does not disappoint. While there are only five songs in the game, the two stage themes are lengthy 8-bit renditions of the original theatrical shorts' music. Geoff Follin did an amazing job. While Stephen Ruddy does not receive specific credit as the sound programmer, he has confirmed writing Software Creations' NES sound driver. His name can be found in the Thanks To section of the credits screen.
