Thinking Rabbit is the unofficial name of a Game Boy sound driver made by Thinking Rabbit programmer Hiroto Nakamura during his tenure at Thinking Rabbit, originally developed as a semi-port of their Famicom sound driver for Trump Boy (GB) and later upgraded for Trump Boy II (GB). When Nakamura left the company to found Giraffe Soft, he took the driver code with him, typically using it in many of the games he worked on, or in some cases, gave the source code to other companies to use for their own games. Despite this, sometimes Nakamura used other sound drivers for his credited games, so not every game he did at Giraffe Soft used it.

Simultaneously, while other Thinking Rabbit staff left to found Kan's, they took an early revision of this sound driver with them, for their Game Boy ports of The Shinri Game.

Many years later, unlicensed developer Sintax would use Mega Man II (GB)'s version of this driver for some of their unlicensed titles, keeping the original music, albeit accidentally implementing the driver incorrectly, causing playback issues.
