Theme 2 is an upbeat background song that plays over holes 3, 9, 11, 14 and others of Sente Mini Golf.
Games
Sente Mini Golf (ARC)
On the original arcade cabinet, Theme 2 also plays over holes 2, 4, 10, 12 and 13. It plays on 4 of the 6 CEM3394 analog synthesizer chips. Rather unobviously, the melody loops at 0:19.15.
To record two loops plus 10 seconds in MAME 0.228, RAM was edited to play them during attract mode (where sound effects are off). VGMPF does not know yet how close it sounds to a real arcade cabinet. Certainly before MAME 0.225 from September 30, 2020, the bass is louder (has no low-pass filter) and the first melody has a much softer instrument.
Mini Golf (C64)
On the official Commodore 64 port, Theme 2 also plays over holes 1, 7 and 17.
All instruments sound different, between tinny and full, on every 6581 because they use SID's infamous filter. Two loops plus 10 seconds were recorded from hole 1 in:
- VICE 3.2 with C64 NTSC and a bias of 250.
- VICE 3.2 with C64C NTSC.
In the rip, it is track 1.
