The Three Stooges, initially known as Ted Healy and his Stooges, was a popular comedy team from the late 1920's consisting of Moe Howard, Larry Fine, Curley Howard, Shemp Howard, Joe Besser, and Curley Joe Direta. They made many film shorts throughout 1930's to 1960's. In 1970, the act came to an end when Larry Fine suffered a stroke and the team broke up and retired. The franchise is currently owned by C3 Entertainment Inc.
They had their own video game in 1984 by Mystler Electronics, The Three Stooges in Brides is Brides. Then, in 1987, Cinemaware made another one for MS-DOS, which was later ported to the NES and many other systems and even got a CD-ROM re-release as The Three Stooges Digitally Remastered Edition (MAC). A Game Boy Color port was also in development, but eventually went unreleased for reasons unknown.
