The Final Fantasy Legend (魔界塔士Sa・Ga, Makai Toushi SaGa translated as Warrior in the Tower of the Spirit World) is an RPG released on the Game Boy by Squaresoft in 1989. It features a turn-based battle system reminiscent of the Final Fantasy series, which makes sense as to why it is marketed as a Final Fantasy game for its American and European releases. The games also features a party system much like that of Dragon Warrior 3 where characters besides the main character can be recruited at free will within the game. There are three different classes that can be chosen from: humans, mutants and monsters, and class cannot be changed.

Music
Keeping up with similarities to the Final Fantasy series, the game is scored by Nobuo Uematsu, who initially had trouble with composing on the Game Boy because of the different sound hardware from the Famicom. While the soundtrack doesn't compare much to his other work, mainly because of the smaller size of it and console limitations, it still is really good. In fact, quite a bit of it is reused in later SaGa games, most noteably Wipe Your Tears Away, which appears in five later games.
