Roland MT-32 Sounds for the game

Anybody got the Roland MT-32 soundtrack for the game? I know the sound options are PC Speaker or Roland MT-32. Any details? ~User:BuddyBoy600alt (talk) Thursday August 20th, 2020, 13:28:20

As I understood, they've added that option as a harsh joke. This functionality doesn't work hence got removal once from the game page. And in game, only displays message... something like "this is not a Sierra product to you, right?" --Cancer (talk) 16:16, 20 August 2020 (EDT)

Nice joke, but this is merely a video montage done by you. There is also a comment on the original gameplay video which says you just shoehorned the music, which is not original to the game. --binarymaster (talk) 20:16, 16 May 2022 (EDT)

Full of wrong info?

Unfortunately, most infos don't add up at all. The only version I find says 1989, the file date says July 20, 1989, but there are no MIDI files at all, and the MT-32 menu item just openly mocks you. It doesn't say that the MT-32 was ever to be supported. At least at first glance, I couldn't find a difference or any traces of a MIDI or MT-32 driver. Besides, QBASIC did not exist before 1991 (QuickBASIC did, but not QBASIC), PASSPORT.MID itself says 1991 inside, and "Robocop vs. The Terminator" is 1993. And the cover is named MS-DOS 4.5, did this ever exist at all?

User:BuddyBoy600alt, where can we find this version? Is it perhaps an update or mod? --Professor Chaos (talk) 12:59, 30 April 2021 (EDT)

MT32?

Can you please explain the exact steps how you enabled MT32? I have:

  1. seen and heard your video,
  2. typed the link on the top,
  3. clicked Play online in browser,
  4. selected Sound Options (or alternatively pressed S),
  5. selected ROLAND MT-32 (or alternatively pressed R),

but it will just mock "Who do you think I am Sierra On-line??" I then:

  1. pressed ESC twice,
  2. selected Play the Game already (or alternatively pressed P),
  3. lost and won a couple of times,

but never heard anything. If I select IBM INTERNAL SPEAKER (or press I) before ROLAND MT-32, I do hear the PC Speaker (the winning tune is Johann Sebastian Bach), but that's obviously not the point. --Professor Chaos (talk) 20:47, 24 May 2021 (EDT)
