Audio Development
Game Boy Color
While new composers at Graphic Research used second version of their sound driver, Fumito Tamayama reprogrammed the same driver. This version was used by in-house composers.
Before this, on Nobunaga no Yabou: Game Boy Ban 2 and Gakkyuu Ou Yamazaki, in-house composers used 2nd version of same sound driver.
WonderSwan/WonderSwan Color
Fumito Tamayama developed his own sound driver, which is similar to his Game Boy driver.
Game Boy Advance
Initially, Shigenori Masuko and Yusuke Beppu used their own custom sound driver, which is similar to WonderSwan and Game Boy Color drivers, since PSG instruments were designed by Fumito Tamayama. According to credits of first Fire Pro Wrestling game, the sound driver was programmed by Nobifumi Nakahara.
Later, they changed to Nintendo's MP2K sound driver.
Game Gear
On Bust-A-Move, Tamayama reprogrammed his own sound driver from Super Golf.
Nintendo 64
On SimCity 2000, composers probably used SGI Audio Tools by Silicon Graphics or custom sequencer by Opus or Youri Kon. This game uses a custom sound driver that used in first Fighters Destiny game by same developers.
