Stoppt den Calippo Fresser (German: Stop the Calippo eater) is a mix of obstacle courses and simple puzzles. Subtitled "Comad Freeware 2", the game was paid by Langnese to advertise their Calippo freeze pops, introduced seven years earlier.
Somewhere on small Caribbean Calippo-Island, tourism is endangered: The bad Calippo-eater is hoarding all the Calippos. As C. C. Cool, the chosen hero of the game, only you can stop him. There's no violence, but your energy is drained by everything (even clouds), replenished by the occasional floating Calippo and every 30000 points.
The Amiga version is more forgiving than the Commodore 64 version, though this is quickly let down by severe bugs in the walking levels.

Music
The musician and programmer got probably connected through a common acquiantance, Frank Lautensack; all three lived in Hildesheim, Lower Saxony. Either way, on his first video game, Nils Ruzicka composed an atmospheric upbeat Carribean soundtrack and arranged in Sidmon II (track 1), Protracker V1.1A (tracks 2 and 13), and Sonic Arranger 1.42 or 1.43 (everything in-game). Sound effects exist only for the helicopter in level 1 and for beating level 6. Loading and new hall-of-fame entries are mute.
Tracks 1 and 2 were also arranged for the Commodore 64 version by Thomas Detert. Track 3 feels similar, though possibly by coincidence. All others are completely different and fit more than the synth-pop on the C64.
Recording
All songs were recorded from the game in WinUAE 4.4.0 with Stereo separation at 100% and Audio filter at Emulated (A500), as per real Amigas of the day.
Unfortunately, when the screen changes, most of the in-game music audibly pauses or slows down. To avoid this, the space key was pressed before a track started, and pressed again when the recording was long enough.
The helicopter sound effect in track 4 is an actual part of the arrangement.

Audio Devices
This game uses the computer's built-in Paula chip and turns the LED filter off. An official NTSC release is unlikely.
Releases
Starting on June 10, 1992, Langnese advertised a telephone number in Amiga-Magazin 7/92 and ASM 7/92 and sent the game to the first 25000 callers.
