Stephen Ruddy is a game and audio programmer, formerly at Software Creations.

While Ruddy's name isn't as well known as Tim Follin and Geoff Follin, he created the sound drivers they used for their Amstrad CPC, Atari ST, Commodore 64, Game Boy, Game Gear, Nintendo 64, Nintendo Entertainment System, Sega Master System, and ZX Spectrum soundtracks.

Audio Development

Ruddy programmed a sound driver in 6502 assembly language, in which the music was written in assembly. The driver was only used by Geoff Follin and Tim Follin, although David Wise used the driver for World Games.
