Stephen Root is an English video game musician who is a pioneer in the industry. He started his video game music career in October 1995 working for Acclaim Studios London and ended up leaving the company five years later. Then, he worked for Criterion Games until 2004. Later, he worked at Electronic Arts until 2008. Ever since September of 2008, he has been working at Codemasters as the audio director. Some of Stephen's prominent works include Die Hard Trilogy, Burnout, and the Re-Volt games.
