Sky Shark was a NES port of the Arcade game Hishouzame. It was a vertically scrolling shooting game that had you control "Sky Shark" in a WW2-esque setting. You battle planes and tanks in 5 challenging levels. As with most shooting games, the goal of the game is simple.... don't die. Easier said then done, this is made especially frustrating by the fact that the BGM only continues if you do not die(or pause the game). After each death the music starts over and you are transported back to the last checkpoint. With each track clocking in at 70 sec plus, you feel much better and amped listening to the end portions of the stage music.

Music
The music in Sky Shark was Tim Follin's first foray into making VGM for the NES. This game is in the STG (shmup) genre and as such it is very typical. It has typical music with typical quality... which makes it superb as the STG genre has some of the best music Video Games has to offer. This soundtrack is full of adrenaline pumping music. I invite you to give it a listen.

Game Rip
Ripping NES music is a very arduous process that is beyond the scope of this site.
