The 16-bit Windows version of SimFarm is pretty much a direct port from the DOS version. The game reacts the same and has all of the same options and functions. Yet like most DOS to Windows ports before Windows 95, the multimedia suffers. The graphics are the same size, but have been decreased to the default 16 color Windows palette. The music is also sent to the Windows device driver. However, unlike the DOS resolution which is fixed at 640x480, the Windows version can be any size. This didn't matter much back on Windows 3.x when you were still stuck with 640x480, but in the upgraded Windows 3.11 video drivers, or anything Windows 95 and above, you can make the game as big as your largest resolution allows.

The Windows music is very similar to the DOS music.

The type 1 MIDI music files and WAV sound effect files are installed into the .\SOUND folder.
SimFarm uses whatever audio driver you have setup for music in Windows, be it an AdLib, Sound Blaster, etc., so there is no official sound to the audio. This particular recording was made using the MIDI plugin for Winamp 5.
