Shinji Tasaka is a Japanese composer, sound designer, and sound programmer. He joined Konami around 1985 and was a part of the Konami Kukeiha Club. One of his earliest works was the arcade game Gradius, in which he not only did sound programming, but also wrote the intro for the song Aircraft Carrier. However, it appears he was mainly a sound designer, editor, and programmer, rather than a composer. During his time at Konami, Tasaka was the head of their coin-op division, and sometimes went by the name "Boss Tasaka". In 1997, he worked on his last game Solar Assault, and appears to have left the industry after that.
