Title
Composer Kenji Kawai
Released 1990-03-23
Title Origin Official

Sentou plays while in combat in Sansara Naga. It was originally composed for the Famicom version of the game, but later adapted to the Game Boy Advance adaptation, Sansara Naga 1x2.

Title

The song's title comes from the Samsara Naga 1&2 Soundtracks CD. The song's name is in kanji 戦闘 (Sentō), which translates to Combat, Battle, or any other similar word.

Composition

The song is in the 5/4 time signature and plays at 112 BPM. The song starts out with the square channels playing chromatically while the triangle channel rapidly sweeps up and down. After 4 measures, the first square channel plays a lead melody while the second square channel backs it, and the triangle plays a bassline. The chord progression in this part is as follows; Dm, C, G/B, B♭, and C. This part plays four times, but while the lead stays the same, the other instruments have slight variations with each loop. After the fourth time, the song plays the intro part four times before looping from the beginning.

The lead melody is the same throughout the whole song, A G G F F E E D E F.

This was the first game to use the song.

The composers wrote the music, most likely in 6502 assembly language in the second version of Advance Communication Company's Sound Routine sound driver. Because the game uses the second version of the sound driver, it is tuned approximately a ¼ step sharp.

The song lacks the parts between 0:00-0:05 and 0:26-0:31, making it quite repetitive, even moreso than the Famicom version.

The song was arranged by Tsukasa Tawada.
