Seiya Murai (born Kiyoshi Murai (村井潔)) is a Japanese composer and sound designer who worked for Konami. He joined the company around 1992, and his first work was writing a stage theme for Gradius II for the PC Engine. He worked on a variety of platforms, but mostly worked on the PC Engine and arcade. He is known for his works on Tokimeki Memorial. He also became an audio director for the company when he worked Pop'n Music 4. Since then, he has worked on a number of the Bemani series.
Up until 2019, he kept his real first name a secret. Murai continues to compose and perform music, and has even written software such as "SynthEdit".
