The Sound Blaster Instrument (SBI) format was created by Creative Labs to store a single instrument definition. The file doesn't store music, but rather an instrument definition that can be imported into a CMF song or an IBK instrument bank. The format can store both melodic and percussion instruments, but doesn't distinguish between the two, so it's up to the player to know which mode to use.
