Russell Shaw is an English composer, sound designer, and audio director.
He started out in 1986 working as a Chief Sound Engineer and Dubbing Mixer for Anderson Burr Productions. In 1992, he joined EPK/Street Sounds Records where he was a composer, arranger, producer, and engineer. He started his work in video games in 1992 when he worked at Bullfrog Productions. There, he scored the music to their numerous titles including Syndicate and Theme Park. After six years with the company, Russell left Bullfrog to join Lionhead Studios, where he served as the head of audio. There, he worked on the Fable series, as well as other games. However, he also composed music for many of these games as well. He worked at Lionhead all the way up until the beginning of 2013. A month later, he started his own freelance audio business Goes Like This, which he still operates to this day. However, in 2019, he joined DPS Games as an audio director; a position that he also still holds to this day.
Shaw currently resides in Guildford, United Kingdom.
