Pyros, better known as Wardner no Mori (ワードナの森 = Wardner's Woods), was a game that started life as an arcade game. It was developed by Toaplan and published by Taito Corporation. It was later ported to the Famicom Disk System under its original title, and released for the Genesis as Wardner. Versions for the Nintendo Entertainment System and PC Engine were announced, but cancelled before they were released, and no prototypes of either have been found by preservationists.

There is a rumor in Japan about the game's title; it is said that the name of the arcade game was changed because Wardner was also the name of the final boss of the first Wizardry game in the series. When the game was released in North America for the Sega Genesis, it used the title of the European release of the arcade version.

No sequels or re-releases for the games were made. The Wardner IP is currently held by Tatsujin Co., a company founded by former Toaplan developer Masahiro Yuge. Conversely, Yuge also programmed the sound driver used in the arcade game.
