Pyramids of Ra (GB)

|
Pyramids of Ra is an Egyptian-themed puzzle game where you must guide a ball through tiles that disappear after you move off of them, and guide the ball back to the start. The game contains over 20,000 levels, but the faster you complete a room, the more rooms you can skip.
The game was also ported to the NES under the title Scarabaeus. However, the game did not get finished, and thus was never released. A ROM is available online, but it shares the same black and white colors that the Game Boy version has, and there is no audio whatsoever.

Music
The game's soundtrack was written by Source's only composer at the time, Chris Gill. Chris composed the music using Pro24 for the Atari 1040ST, and his MIDI files were converted into Link Tomlin's sound driver for playback.

Game Rip
The GBS file was played in NEZPlay VGM Mod, in which the program output the songs as VGM files. The VGM files were then trimmed by hand.
Audio Devices
The game uses the Game Boy's DMG audio unit to play back the music. The programmable wave channel is never used in the game.
