ProTracker is a feature-rich music tracker for Amiga that has gone through numerous variations. Its original design incorporated the features and abilities of NoiseTracker and Ultimate Soundtracker, while adding some new features of its own, including accurate playback on both NTSC and PAL devices.
ProTracker was instrumental in popularizing the MOD audio format outside of Amiga. And while the program was most popular among Amiga game soundtracks, music created for it became popular in games for the SNES and DOS.
The program went through several major revisions and the earlier versions are quite different from the later ones.
