Play CMF is a program that Creative Labs released along with their Sound Blaster sound cards. It is a simple DOS program that plays CMF files using the OPL2 chip on the Sound Blaster. Because it was developed by the same group that designed both the CMF format and the sound card that was meant to play the files, it offers the most accurate playback of CMF files.
Make sure you run the SBFMDrv.com TSR program before running PlayCMF.exe.
