GF1 Patch (PAT) file format widely used by Gravis UltraSound series and by software synthesizers. The file doesn't store music, but it does contain the digital audio samples.
Gravis sound cards like UltraSound and UltraSound Max has onboard RAM with native PAT support for hardware wavetable synthesis.
