Mini Golf is a little-known, complete and official Commodore 64 port of Sente Mini Golf (ARC). For unknown reasons, Sente was completely removed from the title.

The only real difference is the control method. While the original cabinet has a trackball, and the Commodore 64 platform supports two mice and paddles, developers rarely supported such devices. So to determine the direction, a cross automatically spins around your ball until you press the joystick button, or the cross comes to your ball (a more remarkable time limit than in the arcade). The strength is chosen by a bar on the top right.

Aiming by joystick is somewhat difficult on its own.

Oh! The arcade doesn't have continues.

Doesn't hurt!

Two of the five arcade songs and most sound effects have been reproduced, but used slightly differently. 4 holes have no music anymore, 1 hole never had, and the two themes are distributed differently over the remaining 13 holes. The tunnel sound effect does not pause the whole music anymore, only the percussion. Altogether, the soundtrack seems more down to earth, if simple for late 1987.

The song was recorded from the game in:

  1. VICE 3.2 with C64 NTSC and a bias of 250.
  2. VICE 3.2 with C64C NTSC.

Audio Devices

This game uses the computer's built-in SID chip. The instruments sound different, between tinny and full, on every 6581 because they use SID's infamous filter. An official PAL release is not known.
