Michael Henry attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1977 and graduated with a Bachelors in Music in 1982. He also attended Northwestern University from 1984 to 1987. He started in music working in 1988 at Com/Track for almost a decade, writing for radio, commercials, and various forms of media. From June 1996 to September 1997, he served as a composer for Viacom New Media. In 1988, Henry entered the game industry working at Atari Games. He worked on several of their arcade games including Gauntlet Legends and San Francisco Rush 2049. He eventually became the Director of Audio there.
Henry currently serves as the Director of Audio for Cryptic Games, a developer he's worked at for almost two decades.

- Note: Area 51 credits a "Michael Stein" with Jeanne Parson. However, this appears to be Stein's only credit in a game. It is possible it is actually Michael Henry.
