Matthew Kane is an American game designer, who worked for LucasArts, where he contributed the soundtrack for Zak McKracken and the Alien Mindbenders. Despite being a practising musician, Zak McKracken remains the only game he actually composed for, though he has a couple of sound programming credits on other games.
Music Composition
Commodore 64
For Zak McKracken, Matthew used a Roland Juno 106 analogue synthesizer, along with the ubiquitous Yamaha DX7 digital synthesizer and a Yamaha RX11 drum machine, to create the game's music. He then wrote it out in sheet form, so that it could be programmed into the game later on.
