Mark Betteridge is an English former developer who worked for Rare. He originally joined the company as a programmer and designer. He upgraded the original NES sound driver at Rare which was programmed by Chris Stamper. He also designed many games for the company as well. He programmed and designed games such as Battletoads (NES), Snake Rattle 'n Roll, and Cobra Triangle.
He also programmed Rare's SNES sound driver, and may have possibly contributed to their Game Boy audio driver as well.
