Loopz is a puzzle game by Audiogenic Software. The game combines elements of Tetris and Pipe Dream. The goal of the game is to combine pieces together to make a complete loop, which will clear it off screen (hence the name, Loopz). There is a timer for placing each piece, and even the first levels only give you a second to place a piece, making the game unnecessarily difficult. There are also 3 modes of play. Games A and B are pretty identical, but Game C allows you to play the bonus levels accessed in Game B, in which you must put missing pieces back together.

Music
Loopz contains a soundtrack by legendary David Whittaker. There are 3 in-game tunes to choose from, each consisting of 4 variations/start points. For some reason, the second variation of each is found twice in the game's DW file. The style of music is mostly rock, but a few tracks have a bit of an atmospheric sound to them. The lead instrument is a pan flute with a synth bass playing the bass tracks. Whittaker would go on to convert his compositions to the other ports of this game. The Amiga version has the best sound, as it's the only one to use digitized sound samples. The Atari ST version follows suit, in that it was written in Quartet which allowed for digitized sound samples, surpassing the PSG of the Atari ST, but a few notes are off.
Because of how many variations of the in-game songs there are, as well as Tune B and C spanning over 3 minutes long, each in-game song has a fadeout after only one playthrough. The recording was made in JAM For Windows.
To write the music, Whittaker coded the music in his sound driver in MC68000 assembly.
