Logical (stylized as Log!cal) is an puzzle action game with 99 levels. Every level has an array of wheels with four holes each. From the top right of the screen, colored balls roll in and fall into the free holes. The player can rotate the wheels and pass balls between them. If a wheel is filled with four balls of the same color, the balls explode. Once all wheels have been filled that way, the level is solved.

The game has several time limits and many extras that gradually make the game more varied, brain-teasing and frantic. It also has a level editor.

Music

Like the C64 and DOS versions, the Amiga version has four in-game tunes. Although the chords and melodies differ, all tunes are still similar in their instruments (especially drums), synthpop style, structure (especially tracks resting during the intro), medium tempo and somewhat optimistic yet urging mood, and even in their 2:33.84 length. The jingles stay the same, except for instruments and key.

Uniquely to the Amiga version, the music sets are linked to the Graphic Set menu item (options named on disk) rather than the level number, and whenever time runs short, a tom-tom solo plays over the music. One of the channels is used for less important patterns such as echos and drum fills to make room for sound effects. If the latter are turned off, so are the jingles.

The titles are unofficial and based on the respective song's appearance in the game. Stember arranged the same songs for the C64 version except for Title; instead, the C64 title screen plays Main Menu and the C64 main menu is silent.

Recording

All songs were recorded from WinUAE 3.6.1 with the stereo separation set to 100%, as per a real Amiga.

In the game, Title slightly stumbles as it is played during disk access, and it is faded out prematurely when the disk access finishes. The full recording can be done by ejecting the disk just after the music begins.
