Level is the song composed by Kevin Schilder for Hexen: Beyond Heretic.

According to the Doom Wiki, it was inspired by a song from the group Level 42, hence the name.[1]

Level plays in the secret level Bright Crucible of Hub 1 (internally MAP06).

If the game finds the CD inside, it will automatically play the CD version of the song, which is track number 21.

However, if the CD is not present, the MIDI version will play. The internal name ("lump") of the MIDI track is levelr.

In the PlayStation version of Hexen, Level is used four times in the game. It plays in Bright Crucible of Hub 1, like in the original PC version, as well as in Caves of Circe of Hub 2 (replacing Deep), Dragon Chapel of Hub 3 (replacing Chapel 1) and Forsaken Outpost of Hub 4 (replacing Fooja).

Level is track number seven on the CD.
