Knight Tyme (C64)
Knight Tyme is the third game in the Magic Knight series, written by David Jones on the ZX Spectrum, illustrated by Ray Owen, and ported to the Commodore 64 by Paul Freeman. For unknown reasons, this third C64 port appeared 3 months after the fourth C64 port.
During 2 minutes of loading, you can play Invade-a-load (C64) and listen to a ripped Rob Hubbard song. Afterwards, the main menu appears with a sound effect. To turn the music on, you have to "wear the personal stereo" in-game. David Whittaker did a good job, writing the music in assembly. However, his 2-voice sound effects cannot be turned off and constantly drown out the melodies. Only the sound effects for casting a spell and moving reels are outside Whittaker's driver and emulate the ZX Spectrum's buzzer on the 4th voice. On the game-over window, the music is unworn.
Invade-a-load was recorded from a real PAL C64C with an 8580 R5 4091.

This game uses the computer's built-in SID chip and sounds the same on every one of them. Whether it was officially released in NTSC regions is not known.
