Kenichi Matsubara is a Japanese composer who worked for Konami. He has become popular in the video game music world for composing the music to the game Castlevania II: Simon's Quest, as well as his work on the Gradius series. He was also a part of the Konami Kukeiha Club, and went by the monikers Ken and Taurus Matsubara. He later left Konami to work at SCE.

His best known song is the Castlevania II track Bloody Tears.
