Kenneth W. Arnold is an American composer and computer programmer who worked for Origin Systems from the company's inception in 1983, although he was officially an employee only from March, 1987 until December, 1988. He worked with OSI founder Richard Garriott during the summer of 1979 when Garriott made Akalabeth and continued working as a programmer at OSI for the first two Ultima games. Most important to this site, Arnold composed nearly all of the music for Ultima III, IV, and V, with a couple tracks that were reused for VI. He is portrayed in several Ultima games as Sir Kenneth, the Court Composer for Lord British.

After leaving Origin, Arnold worked as a programmer at various companies including Dell, Hewlett Packard, and nVidia. He currently lives in Nixa, Missouri, and works as a programmer for Leggett & Platt, a furniture manufacturing business.

Kenneth W. Arnold should not be confused with Kenneth C. Arnold, co-developer of the game Rogue.
