Jan-Lieuwe Koopmans is a Dutch video game developer.
In 1990, he was a programmer for Emphasys, in which he programmed a few games and demos for the MSX computer. From 1996 to 1998, he worked at Prodetis for Software Support, and from 1998 to 2000, was a Software Engineer for TAS.
In August 2000, Jan-Lieuwe started working at Engine Software as a Senior Software Engineer, where he still works to this day. When the company was producing Game Boy Advance games, he programmed a sound engine for the handheld that would end up being used by many outside developers.
Audio Development
At Engine Software, Koopmans wrote sound drivers for Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS. These drivers were licensed to various composers.
