James Langford is a composer, sound designer and programmer. He has primarily worked on handheld video games, mostly those of Nintendo's Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS.
James started working on video games in July 2000 when he worked at Torus Games. For 6 years, he scored the music and sound effects to several of their Game Boy Advance titles including Space Invaders and Doom II. In January 2007, he started working at Red Tribe as an audio designer and asset manager. It is at Red Tribe where he started to work more on console games and shy away from handheld games. In February 2008, James returned to Torus Games and left in 2011. Since September 2013, James has been working for Big Ant Studios. He has also operated his own audio business Skirmish Audio since June 2001. Langford continues to write music and sound effects for video games.
