Introduction is a brief music track from Doom series making the first appearance in DOS version of Doom, which normally plays at the title screen. Bobby Prince composed this song using Sequencer Plus Gold.
Games
Doom (DOS)
The DOS version represents the song as a brief crash of sound that is played at the title screen before showing the demo rotation. After the last demo ends the title screen shows again and plays this song.
This track is played only if General MIDI is set up, otherwise an alternate version of this tune called Introduction AdLib will be played. The internal name of this song is "D_INTRO".
Doom (32X)
The Introduction music track was meant to play in the title screen of Sega 32X version of Doom, however it remains unused and still presents on the game's ROM. At Doom's Gate replaces this and plays in the title screen, demo and other levels.
Doom (SNES)
In the SNES version the Introduction tune plays in the title screen, like in the DOS version. Once the player presses a button, the track stops and the game begins.
