During his time both at Konami and Natsume, he worked with many other sound designers.

Music Composition
NES/SMS
Mizutani created the sound drivers at Natsume and the music was programmed in binary/hexadecimal. There were two versions of the sound driver. The first one was used in Dungeon Magic and Heroes of the Lance, and the rest of the games used a whole new sound driver.
SNES
Mizutani created MIDI files. Then he loaded his MIDI files into a debugger where he would convert the MIDI file to text. Next, he would modify the music in the debugger. Then he would initialize it. Mizutani used instrument samples from many Roland devices such as the S-330, D-550, SC-55 Mk II and Yamaha TX-802.
GBA
Mizutani used Natsume's own sound driver.
