The song was written by Takeaki Kunimoto on his Yamaha CX-7 MSX2 computer. The song was then given to Hudson Soft to implement into the game.

The song's title comes from Kinoko Kunimoto History Vol.3: Meikyuu Hector. Its title is in English, HISTORY 3/5. The album Famicom 20th Anniversary - Original Sound Tracks, Vol.2 also uses the same title.
