Games
Bionic Commando (ARC)
This is the original version of High Score as composed by Harumi Fujita.
This song was included on the Legend of Game Music: Premium Box album. It's track 56 on disc 3, and it has the title "Ranking".
The song plays on a YM2151 sound chip and is song number 0x03 in the game's sound test. The arcade version of the song loops.
Bionic Commando (AST)
Tim Follin rearranged the
High Score song for the Atari ST port. Like the arcade game, it plays if you're able to obtain a high enough score to get in the top ten. This song is track 1 in the
SNDH file and plays on the
YM2149F chip. Like the arcade game, the Atari ST version of this song loops.
Bionic Commando PAL (C64)
Bionic Commando had two different ports for the Commodore 64, one for North American, which did not feature this song, and the PAL version for Europe which did. Tim Follin rearranged the music of the arcade game. Like the arcade game, High Score plays after the game over screen if you've racked up enough points to get on the high score table. The song is track 4 in the SID file. Unlike the arcade version of the song, the Commodore version doesn't loop.
Bionic Commando (ZXS)
Like the arcade game, High Score plays if you make it onto the game's high score list, but unlike the arcade game, the ZX Spectrum 3 song doesn't loop. It was arranged by Tim Follin to play on an AY-3-8912 audio chip. The song is track 6 in the AY file.
