HAL Game Music is an album released by Tokuma Japan Corporation in 1988. It features mostly arrangements by Masao Hiruma, based off of original compositions from a few HAL Laboratory games. While a majority of these games were released only in Japan, some of the music from Air Fortress (NES) made it onto the CD. While each track features music from a particular game, most of them feature multiple themes in one song, so it's hard to pinpoint a title for the songs. Tracks 8 through 10 feature recordings directly from the game. Track 8 features all the music from Eggerland (FDS), Track 9 features the lesson music from Jumbo Ozaki no Hole in One Professional (FC), and Track 10 features all the music from Fire Bam (FDS). Interestingly, the final track features a jingle not found in the final game, as well as extra polish added to the staff roll theme.
The booklet comes with a centerfold, featuring a few pictures of Hideki Kanazashi, Hiroaki Suga, and Masao Hiruma, as well as a comic, and commentary on the album. The centerfold also gives all the official titles for all the songs heard in tracks 8-10. All of them are translated on the Talk page.
While the CD credits the music to both Hideki Kanazashi and Hiroaki Suga, it is most likely Hideki composed the music and Hiroaki was the sound programmer of these games, based on the various game credits. This is supported by the credits found in Eggerland, Meikyuu no Fukkatsu, Air Fortress, Fire Bam, and Gall Force, all of which only list Kanazashi as the composer, whereas Meikyuu no Fukkatsu lists Suga as a Sound Director. (Jumbo Ozaki no Hole in One Professional does not have credits.)

Note: Because most of the tracks on the CD feature multiple songs from a game, the VGMPF titles have been listed in parentheses.
