Groove is a song used across all three episodes of Xargon as the background music for the demo.

Title

The game refers to song_d.xr0. The full official song title is unknown, however Allen Pilgrim (Xargon programmer) released some original files from the game, which included all the music files. In that release, this song was named GROOVE.CMF.

Composition

Dan Froelich arranged in AdLib Visual Composer with a mouse, and somebody converted it to the CMF format.

The OPL rhythm mode instruments in order of appearance are:

1. ?: bass
2. ?: something deep
3. BDRUM1
4. ?: chords
5. SNARE1

It is one of the very few CMF songs that uses note velocity so clearly, so this song is an excellent test piece when comparing CMF players.
