The title comes from the album Galaxy Force. This song is the first section of part 3 of track 2. It's also track 4 on Sega System 16: Complete Soundtrack Vol.2 where it is titled "Gaum-Hammer (Boss Theme)". Which version is correct remains unknown.

The Master System and Mark III releases of Altered Beast use Gaum-Hermer, not as the boss theme, but as the background music for after they player transforms into a dragon or weretiger. Werewolf transformations still play Altered Beast (Power Up).

The Master System release plays the song on the SN76489, but Mark III plays on the YM2413.
