Game Start is a jingle that plays at the beginning of every new round in Arkanoid. It's heard so regularly in the game and across so many different ports and sequels, that it can be viewed as the unofficial "Arkanoid theme." It was composed by Hisayoshi Ogura. The official title comes from the Legend of Game Music 2: Platinum Box album.

In the original arcade game, Game Start plays at the start of each new round as well as when you restart a round after dying.

The song is rendered on the YM2149. It is number 0B in the game's internal sound test, although the same song can be heard at number 1D. It is not known which one is actually played.
